Obama Opposes “Voodoo Free” Republican Bill Requiring EPA “Scientific Disclosure” For Regulations – Hysteria Should Be Enough

Republicans introduced legislation on February 24th aimed at dragging the foundation of much of the EPA’s abuse of power from out of the shadows. The agency’s reliance upon untrue assertions built upon false or incomplete data is being addressed by a bill being offered jointly by Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) and Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX).
The bill aims to eliminate the EPA’s use of “secret science” as the basis of support for crippling regulations. We’ve all heard the Democrats proclaim that the science on “climate change” is no longer in doubt and that the debate is over. They would love for the debate to be over as their position is not supported by the facts. The debate is very much alive and the science upon which they have based their campaign of economic destruction is at best questionable and the process rife with corruption.
This bill is aimed at validating or invalidating the science used as the justification for draconian EPA regulations. Senator Barrasso said in a statement, “For years, the EPA has based its rules and regulations on secret data that they refuse to publish and make available to all Americans.” He added, “Since the American people bear the expensive costs of EPA red tape, they deserve to have access to the science behind these regulations. Our bill will force the Obama administration to finally start living up to its claim of being the ‘most transparent administration’ in history.”
In plain English, hysteria and blanket assertions will no longer be sufficient to justify the EPA’s Eco-terrorism. The bill mandates that EPA regulations could not be written unless they are based upon the “best available science” and that science was made publicly available on the Internet.
One might think that this is exactly the kind of bill that the EPA would welcome, providing them with a forum through which to “educate” the public on the benefits of their proposals and why, in the face of the nation-crippling consequences, they are still a good deal for America. In spite of such a ready means of getting their message out to the people and turning their sales pitches into done deals, the EPA is resisting.
The only possible reason must be that they can’t substantiate their claims and that they already know their destructive agenda is not based in science but rather upon lies intended to advance the globalist acquisition of control and wealth.
Rep Smith, who chairs the House Science Committee, said, “The data that underpins EPA regulations should be available to the public so that independent scientists have a fair chance to verify findings.” He added, “Our freedoms are best protected when citizens are informed. The Secret Science Reform Act would prohibit the EPA from using science they aren’t willing to make public.”
Protecting freedom is of no consequence to the EPA, but true transparency would be like sunlight to a vampire. Independent scientists are the last people the EPA wants examining their claims.
Last year the House passed a similar measure, which failed to make it past the human legislative roadblock that was Harry Reid. This year the odds of forcing accountability onto the dictatorial regulatory beast are much better.
Predictably, the least transparent, most corrupt administration dismissed the “secret science” charges, with the occupant of the White House threatening a veto of the legislation. It’s enough for the peasants to know that he has declared the science to be true. Emperor Obama has spoken.
Bridge troll Gina McCarthy said of the similar legislation last year, “If EPA is being accused of ‘secret science’ because we rely on real scientists to conduct research, and independent scientists to peer review it, and scientists who’ve spent a lifetime studying the science to reproduce it — then so be it.”
Apparently she wasn’t paying attention. The actual reason is approximately 180 degrees from those wild assertions. Nothing could be further from the truth.
